STA One Day Introduction to Technical Analysis

What is Technical Analysis?

Technical analysis is the forecasting of market prices by means of analysis of data generated by the process of trading, and has become an important part of most investment house activity. One of the many attractions of technical analysis is that its methodology can be applied almost identically in any market. The same techniques can be applied to currencies, commodities, bonds, interest rates and equities. It can be used for market timing, asset allocation and utilised to help limit risk.
