Board weighs in on Federal Governments plan to fast track newcomers to Canada
As of January 2015, the Expression of Interest (EOI) system will help switch from passive processing of applications, in the order they arrive, to a prioritized system that gets in-demand people with the skills to succeed to Canada faster than ever before. The St. John’s Board of Trade attended consultations this week hosted by the federal government. Click to read the board's submission.

MUN Alumni Job Fair
Recently the Board launched its 2014 Economic Outlook and Survey. One of the biggest challenges for business owners continues to be the labour market. If you are struggling to find qualified employees consider registering for MUN’s Alumni Job Fair to be held on May 14 at Easter Seals, 206 Mt Scio Road from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Testimonial
"The MUN Alumni Job Fair provided TD with an opportunity to speak to a number of alumni with a variety of backgrounds. The quality of job seekers was impressive. I received approx. 20 resumes of which many where referred for H.R interviews for various roles at TD. TD is looking forward to participating in the next Alumni job fair!" - Nancy Moulday, Manager Recruitment, TD Business Banking
