Did you know...
Did you know that the For the City Network has a 36,000 square foot nonprofit center that has served hundreds of people in our city through different partnerships, programs, meetings, and events, including the St. John Campus for the Austin Stone? It's true! It’s called the For the City Center, and you can learn more about it here.
Did you know that the FTCC has a 30,000 square foot second floor that’s been sitting ready for renovation since we opened the doors in 2010? It's a fact. And we are excited to fill it with more great happenings this year!
Did you know that we’re currently 11 weeks into the renovation of the FTCC? We are, and you can keep up with the progress here (there are lots of photos!).
Did you know that construction is expected to be completed in August? That's the plan!
And did you know that we own the construction company that's managing the FTCC project? They're called Unison Development, and they are one of our programs.
Unison Development & Job Training
We do, indeed, own a construction company. We created Unison Development to help people with barriers to employment get trained for and find jobs, while also providing great construction services for our city. There are two main ways we accomplish this:
Both types of job training are primarily funded by our remodel construction projects, while our classroom-based trainings are additionally subsidized through volunteer participation and the generosity of our donors.
Want more info? Learn more about Unison Development, find ways to volunteer, connect about your construction project, or give financially.
Thanks for your interest in what the Lord is doing through the For the City Network. We hope these updates are insightful and encouraging as we share how He is moving in Austin.
Love you guys,
