Dear Moms and Dads
Welcome back everyone. We hope that you had a good week with your children. One more Public Holiday this week (Wednesday 7th May-Voting Day) and we will be back to normal again!!!!
We are all very excited this week as we will be celebrating our very SPECIAL MOMS!!!!!!!!!
Yes it’s MOMS DAY at FHPPS.
We invite all our moms to come to school for the morning or part of the morning ( any time from 8am – 12.30pm) to enjoy some fun activities with their children. You are invited to join in with the morning ring and art activities. The children will do a little sing song for all of you at 10am. This will be followed by some tea and cake. The school will provide the cake so you mommies just need to come and relax for the morning.
Most important!!!! If you are not able to come, please see if there is an aunty or a friend who could come for part of the morning to be with your child.
We have a lovely raffle for one of our moms to win, so don’t forget to take a ticket.
Raffle tickets cost R5 and will be available on Thursday and Friday with the draw taking place at 12.30 on Friday 9th May.

FOOD PARCELS
Thank you to all those who are donating food items each week, into the Mandela Box.
We are distributing them to those in need and also to Rainbow Educare. We do appreciate your support and donations. Please keep it up as there are so many people in need.
We deliver to Rainbow Educare in Masi each Wednesday morning.

MY SCHOOL CARD
Please support our school by getting a ‘My School Card’. We will do all the necessary submission etc. We just need you to fill out the forms that are avaliable in the office. This a very easy way of getting funds for our school. Please support!

GRADE R PARENTS
Please make sure that you apply as soon as possible to the local school for your child for Grade 1 in 2015.

Starfish class
Welcome back! We will be carrying on with the EQ theme of “being a really good friend†for this week, along with the IQ theme of “Shapesâ€. Please continue to chat to your children about the qualities of being a really good friend and encourage them to play with their special friend at school. Also play educational shape games with them or spot different shapes with them in their surroundings.
Please remember “Mother’s Day†at school this Friday 9 May. Look forward to seeing you all. Please read the notice board about our forthcoming outing on the 23 May.
Please remember school is closed on Wed 7 May for voting.

Penguin Class
Hi Everyone. Welcome back to yet another short school week. We will continue to talk about how to be a good friend. We will also focus on the colour blue this week. On Friday is ‘Mom’s Day†at school and I hope to see lots of moms or your child’s special person at school.
Next week Thursday is a Teddy bear picnic in the Penguin class. Children must please bring a teddy bear to school and one special treat in their lunch box that they can share with a friend.
