Thanks for Picnicking With Us!

Thank you to all the kind neighbors who donated candy-filled eggs for this year’s Easter egg hunt; we had more than 650 eggs! It’s a good thing we had so many eggs, as we had around 30 kids participate (candy-hungry kids are hard to count). Read more to see photos from the event.

Coronado Neighbor Ava Peterson
|
|
|
The Lakewood Hills community has lost one of our own. Sweet, 7-year-old Ava Peterson passed away recently from cancer. The Peterson’s (Mother, Julie and Father, Scott) live on the 6800 block of Coronado Ave.
Services for Ava Marie Peterson will be held today, Thursday, May 1 at 4 p.m. at Church of the Incarnation, located at 3966 McKinney Ave, Dallas, 75204. The service will be child friendly and open to everyone.
The green ribbons tied to trees throughout our neighborhood are for Ava. You are more then welcome to show your love and support with your own green ribbons.
Friends of the Peterson’s have set up a fund to help pay for medical bills. You can donate at www.gofundme.com/avapeterson.
Lulu Tucker is helping to raise money for Ava’s funeral. If you would like to make a donation, no matter how small, please deliver to Lulu at 7058 Las Vista Dr.
