Optimist Nationals
A predominantly windy Optimist Nationals was held up at Manly SC. Gavin was the top placed boat finishing 23rd in the Silver Fleet, an outstanding effort for his first Nationals at the top level. In the Green Fleet FBYC also played a strong hand with Sam finishing second overall (yay!) with Carlos (17th) and Abby (21st) comfortably inside the top 25. Izzy, Max and Elise all achieved individual race results in the 20's showing their potential for next season. Thanks to the support crews and to Force Racing for getting the squad on the podium this year!
Starling Nationals
Meg achieved a 51st in the Open Fleet in a difficult light weather regatta where she was the only FBYC sailor to qualify into the Gold Fleet. Her result is FBYC's highest placing in the Starling Nationals, woot! Jake also placed well at 66th including a 2nd in one of his races, awesome! In the Development Fleet Ngaio scored a 4th and Alexander 8th.
Sail Brisbane
Lachy's been racing in Australia and has won the Laser 4.7 class at Sail Brisbane A great result in a competitive fleet of 17 boats!
