It's time to apply to be a Super Volunteer! Being a Super Volunteer means you commit to 16 hours of volunteer time. In return, you will receive two snazzy T-shirts, a goody bag, and super volunteers will be eligible to be classroom assistants!
After completion of the application, sit back and relax. You will receive notification if you are a Super Volunteer by May 30, in time for registration. At that time you'll get information on how to sign up for your volunteer hours and register.
Fact: You'll also meet more people and have more fun!
FAQ's
What criteria do you use to select Super Volunteers?
Availability and priority is given to active MQG members and previous volunteers.
What if I want to volunteer more than 16-hours?
Please do! We need many volunteers and love people who are up for helping.
What if I am unable to volunteer at least 16-hours?
You are not eligible to be a Super Volunteer, but you're still welcome to volunteer as much as you can!
Can I register for workshops?
Yes! Volunteer schedule selection will be included with Super Volunteer acceptance information. So you can register for classes around your volunteer schedule.
What if something happens and I need to cancel my volunteer hours?
You will forfeit your two T-shirts and goody bag.
What is expected of being a volunteer?
In our schedule we list the variety of job descriptions, such as staffing the registration desk, setup and takedown, vendor assistants, lecture hall staff, door staff and more. All volunteers should wear comfortable shoes and expect to be on their feet the majority of time. Some positions require lifting.
What benefits do I get as a Super Volunteer?
Super Volunteers will get two snazzy T-shirts, a goody bag, and be eligible to be classroom assistants.
Do I get a cape?
No, however, there might just be a contest for the best volunteer quilted patchwork cape!
