We need your fiber

NEAFP is opening up it's fiber purchasing program to purchase an additional 5,000 lbs of U.S. grown alpaca fiber in 2014. Alpaca farms across the country have created a  growing demand for finished products that their herds cannot support in annual fiber production alone. By selling your fiber to us you can help alpaca farms stay ahead of growing product demand for U.S. alpaca while improving your farm's cash flow.

For 2014, we are purchasing fiber that meet these requirements:

• U.S. Grown Huacaya Blanket Fiber
• Average Fiber Diameter: 28 micron and under
• Staple Length: 2” to 5”
• Minimal strong primaries (guard hair), short cuts, and other forms of contamination

NEAFP is paying between $3 and $4 per LB based on overall quality that meet the above requirements. All usable fiber will be paid for within 6 weeks of receiving it for review. Once we meet our 2014 requirements we will be closing the program and creating a wait list for 2015.
