A Guide to the New Website
We would like to thank all those who have given us such thorough feedback on our new website. It seems that many of you are still not using the website to your full advantage, so here are some points for making the most out of the Consortium website. Please bear in mind that the Consortium website is the best way to connect with us—check in with us often!
- Find out what's going on in the community through the Consortium Blog, Newsletter, and Newsfeeds, all readily accessible from the Consortium website
- Participate in the Communities of Interest, now available at the Consortium website . You can also log in using your Twitter or Facebook account.
- Update member profile page – add project description, images, course counts, etc. You can also select the languge of your choice on the member profile page. We are moving the website in a more multilingual direction, and we hope soon to offer you all website services in a variety of lanaguges.
- Also, if you would like to share with us an exciting project, do let us know, and we will feature the project on the Project Showcase page.
Watch our blog in September
We have invited several guest bloggers from around the world to give perspectives on the question of credit, certification and/or assessment for OCW and OER throughout the month of September. Please feel free to contribute your comments and views! Are you interested in being a guest blogger on this or other questions facing the movement? Contact us at feedback@ocwconsortium.org.We would like to also encourage community members to please actively reply to blog posts.

September Webinar
Lila Bailey, Cousel of Creative Commons gave a webinar on «Using Creative Commons Licenses for OCW» in August. You can view the video file here. The September webinar is a continuation of the ongoing discussion about the need for a guideline to using open licenses for OCW/OER. There will be a working group starting to create this guideline, and anyone who is interested in contributing to this is welcome to participate. The September webinar—September 2nd, at 10AM EDT—will be the first meeting for this working group and will serve as a round table discussion.
