Mission Action for June 2014 includes a first look at the Decade of Mission coming up 2015-2025, an update on the CWS Philippines Appeal, updates from the Anglican Church of Melanesia after the devastating flooding in April and our appeal, as well as some stories from NZCMS Mission Partners.

Currently we have two appeals running, our annual Lenten Appeal and an emergency appeal in support of Flood Relief in the Solomon Islands.

We now ask that donations to the Lenten Appeal are sent to the Anglican Missions Office as soon as possible so that these can be collated and passed on to our partners in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East and the Diocese of Polynesia.

Anglican Missions launched an emergency appeal in aid of the people of the Solomon Islands and the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) subsequent to the devastating floods in April.
Donations are still needed to assist the Anglican Church of Melanesia in their recovery efforts. Please visit our website or call our office on (04) 473 5172 for information on how to donate to this emergency appeal.

Motivate your Parish by
Telling Mission Stories
We all love a story. Jesus was the greatest of story tellers. That’s why its good for Mission Motivators to have a regular spot in the service (say on the first Sunday of every month) to tell a story related to overseas mission and Anglican Missions.
I have just read a report from Malcolm Pease of Taranaki who has just returned from Fiji where he was working with one of the villages (Vucivuci) as part of the Water for All project for 2014 on providing water in a village. What caught my imagination though was his reference to a family of 15 all of whom lived in a house with no running water. Malcolm has been discussing the possibilities with the local Church for making like easier for this family. Wow, what a beaut story; one which others can even emulate or help pay for. This is overseas mission in action and what a difference it makes.

- Read and share each edition of Mission Action!
Each edition of Mission Action includes stories we've been told about overseas mission happening around the world by our partners in mission. Each edition is released electronically as well to make it easier to share - so feel free to download, print, email, or photocopy stories to share with others about overseas mission! Find this free magazine on our website and in your local parish.
- Browse our News section and Blog.
We share many stories on our website such as project and appeal updates from our partners and tales of short term missions. Not everything can fit into an edition of Mission Action, but there are so many stories to tell and expand on.

Extracts from Interchange
If you’ve been reading NZCMS’s Interchange you’ll have read some of the latest prayers for serving and returning Mission Partners. You can sign up to get regular news from NZCMS on their website www.nzcms.org.nz.
- Jo leaves Tanzania on the 25th of June. Pray that God will uphold her heart as she says goodbye to many good friends, that her travels will be smooth, and that she will be able to adjust to life in New Zealand when she returns here.
- Marion has returned to New Zealand from Tanzania also. Pray for her as she begins the process of resettling in New Zealand.
- Pray that God will continue to grant Cliff and Irene wisdom for all they are involved with at St John's University in Tanzania.
- Exam season looms at CAMS, the school Celia is working with. Pray the exams will run smoothly, and also for Celia to know God's peace as she prepares to leave Tanzania later this month.
- Pray for the next stage of the project Tessa is involved with in Uganda. Pray that the group's plans to address the local water issues will be fruitful and that the farming production group will be a success.
