Next week: One Way Ticket
Wed 30 April - Sat 3 May | 60 minutes

A powerful, poetic true story of stolen childhood from three acclaimed performance poets.  A gripping show not to be missed.

"A brilliant piece of dramatised poetry. As a piece of story-telling, One Way Ticket captures the listeners imagination just like a Michael Morpurgo story does. As an older adult I found it every bit as intriguing and moving as I guess the younger members of the audience did."  Audience member, Southampton

"So well written and excellently performed that it was enjoyed by all ages."
Audience member, Gillingham

Following both performances on Saturday 3 May, a free creative writing workshop will be available to children in the audience, led by the three cast members Rosemary Harris, Justin Coe and Sophie Rose.

Suitable for all the family (not recommended for under 8s).

Just announced: When Spring Comes
Wed 28 May 11am | Ages 3-7 | 35 minutes

Following an acclaimed run at Southbank Centre in 2012, we're delighted to be presenting this enchanting show at Half Moon for one performance only, prior to a run at the international Spark Festival.

Fusing Kathak and contemporary dance with live jazz music, against a backdrop of beautiful animation from acclaimed children's illustrator Amberin Huq, When Spring Comes is a magical, musical and colourful play without words in which a young boy experiences the seasons and awaits the arrival of spring.

A play about new beginnings, the resilience of the human spirit, and learning to grow alongside nature's ever changing landscape.

Current exhibition: Ritual by John Mayson
Until 24 June | Mon to Fri 10am to 6pm | Entry Free

A visually arresting and engaging series of self-portrait photographs from East London based artist John Mayson, which contemplate the contemporary rituals of disguise, play, performance and identity through the craft of mask-making.

In addition, a series of photographs entitled ‘Self Portrait Obscured by Breath’ reference the theatrical setting of Half Moon and the importance of breath control for vocal projection in performance.

All work is available for purchase.
