May Newsletter

The warm spring sunshine has the garden in bloom and we are filling the shop with new samples for kids of all ages.  In honor of Mother's Day, we are celebrating Moms and tots all month long with two trunk shows that will highlight some irresistibly cute patterns.  Our sample knitters have been hard at work making tiny knits; and we'll be hosting a trunk show sent by Erika Knight that highlights her gorgeous British Blue Wool.

Our yarn bombing knitting is going to be wrapping up this month, so there are still a few days left to stop into the shop on a Tuesday Community Knit Night to do a bit of stitching, or to pick up a project bag that has yarn and instructions that will ensure that you don't miss out on being a part of the fun.  We'll be able to share photos of the finished project soon!

We look forward to seeing you soon.
Baby Knits

Something about May brings babies to mind.  So we've had our sample knitters work diligently on some terrific new samples that we can share with you this month that will be perfect for new arrivals.  All of these great projects could make thoughtful shower gifts.

For new and expectant Moms there is nothing more thoughtful than a hand made gift made up in a superwash yarn that will not require extra special care.  We have all kinds of terrific yarns for you to choose from including organic options from Swans Island, virtually the entire Anzula line, as well as yarns from Berrocco.

A quick visit to the shop will get you started on a tiny project that can be finished in no time!
New Arrivals from Madelinetosh

We received a new shipment from Madelinetosh last week, and we have bright new colors for you to choose for your spring knits.  Her two single-ply best sellers Tosh Merino Light and Tosh Merino DK never stay in the shop for long, so you'll want to make your choices quickly.

Also, we have a brand new tosh color that will be introduced this week at TNNA.  Stop on by the shop when you can to see our skeins of Tosh Merino DK and Tosh Merino Light in Mandala.

And another shipment is on its way!  We'll be receiving new skeins and fresh colors of A.S.A.P., Madelinetosh's single ply super bulky superwash wool yarn.  These skeins are 90 yards, and are perfect for bright and beautiful last minute knits that can be completed as quick as a wink.

Knitting Tutorials this Summer

Let's face it, no one likes the prospect of Summer School.  When the sun is shining and the temperatures start to climb, we find that knitters just want to play!  So we are going to postpone offering group classes until the Fall.

If you need project support or help of any kind, you can always pop into the shop and we can get you back on track.  Amelia's FREE "office hours" on Wednesday mornings are a great opportunity to get focused one on one attention.  And you can always pop into the shop on our Tuesday Knit Nights.  There is usually a wonderfully talented group of crafty folks that would love to provide some advice.

If you and your friends find that you can't wait until September to dive into something new, give us a call at the shop at 970-407-1461 and we can coordinate a private session with one of our instructors.

We'll spend the summer dreaming up some exciting new classes to introduce this fall.  So when you are ready to pick up your needles again as the days grow a bit cooler, we'll have some great classes and Clinics for you to choose from.
