For the Parent/Guardian:
This program lots of fun! It is also designed to support and address the Alberta Education Programs Study with connections to various subjects including Fine Arts, English Language Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Our youth art camps strive to make specific integrated study connections to help the individual develop.

For the Camp Goers:
These day camps are a great chance to brush up on skills where you are rusty and gain new skills that you don’t have! Each camp includes a field trip where camp goers will practice sketching skills and drawings on site. A professional local artist from the arts community in Edmonton will be invited to teach a workshop. These workshops will give you insight into a professionals techniques in a local context. The camps will cover mediums such as silkscreening, clay sculpture, acrylic paint, and much more. You will also connect with like-minded people you age!

Camp fee: $175 includes all materials. Students are advised to dress prepared to make a mess! Class sizes are limited to ensure quality instruction, so please call or email to reserve your spot today. Camps run 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, early drop off and late pick-up is available upon request.

Front Room Gallery

MILK examines our social, biological, and political relationship to bodily fluids through a diverse range of media, including, text, photography, video, painting, sculpture, scents, and food. Posing as a curated exhibition of both found objects and selected artworks, Ouellette use a wholistic approach to art-making that absorbs the institutional role in favour of the exhibition as artwork.

This month is loaded with so many exciting opportunities! Harcourt is hiring, the AGM, submissions for the Member’s Show, and so much more! Side note: This month is your last chance (before the summer) to get into the drop-ins 3 days a week. Starting in June it’ll only be Wednesday evenings.

On another note we say goodbye to two staff this month and wish them all the best in their new endeavours: Brittney Roy and Connor Buchanan.

Brittney has been with Harcourt for a little over three years and has put so much positive energy and hard work into the centre. She knows that whomever takes over her position will take it to the next level and build on what she has developed.

Connor has enjoyed Harcourt’s quirks, it’s members and everyone involved. As Gallery Services Coordinator Connor has made some positive changes and moved a lot of the admin side of things to best practice.

Both staff are grateful for the rare knowledge they have gained working with an Artist Run Centre and are excited for Harcourt to bring in some fresh eyes.

There are also two summer positions opening up! Check our website for details: SUMMER JOBS
