Take action! Pride Foundation
Save Pocatello's Non-Discrimination Ordinance
Support the Fair Pocatello campaign now!

Dear *|FNAME|*,

On May 20th, all eyes will turn to Pocatello, Idaho, where residents will be voting on an issue of vital importance to the city, the state of Idaho, and the entire nation—defeating Proposition One.

Proposition One is a ballot measure that would repeal Pocatello’s non-discrimination ordinance. If passed, it would give businesses and individuals the right to discriminate against anyone in Pocatello based on a person’s sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.

We just heard that the Yes campaign—the people who want to legalize discrimination in Pocatello—have placed a huge TV buy for May. That means that Pocatello voters will be subjected to dozens of TV ads urging them to vote yes on Prop One.

It is more important than ever that we get out our message of equality and fairness as broadly as possible. We cannot risk voters hearing only one side of the story.

Can you make a donation today to support the Fair Pocatello campaign?

According to Idaho law, it is currently legal to fire someone or deny them housing simply because they are gay or transgender. That’s why a non-discrimination ordinance was adopted in Pocatello—to ensure that everyone has the same right to fairness, opportunity, and equality before the law.

Now that ordinance is threatened by Proposition One.

If the non-discrimination ordinance is repealed, the ramifications stretch far beyond Pocatello. Idaho’s six other cities with non-discrimination ordinances in place may be in jeopardy, as would the over 190 counties and municipalities across the nation with such ordinances.

Pride Foundation is working with a coalition of organizations, including ACLU of Idaho and Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest, to educate people about the ordinance and encourage residents to vote.

Please contribute now to help with campaign expenses. Every donation counts.

This is a pivotal moment for LGBTQ equality. What happens in Pocatello, matters everywhere. We hope you’ll stand with us now by supporting the Fair Pocatello campaign.

With pride,
Kris Hermanns
