Hey Everyone,
Hope everyone is enjoying the rest period after a great season of racing, since the last email a few of us went away to Xterra Rotorua, it was great club atmosphere with about 20 of us from the club camping all beside each other down at Blue Lake, it was a fantastic weekend and if you have not done this event before it is well worth it, with a Off Road Triathlon, Trail Running, Mountain Biking there is something for everyone.
Congratulations to Steve Charles who won his age group and has qualified for Xterra World Championships in Hawaii, I talked to him after the race and asked him what his secret is to being so fast, he stated all he eats is Weetbix, and one bottle of water during the race, I guess that is where I am going wrong, LEGEND.

Friendly Dental Duathlon Series 2014
This winter series is all go with the first event starting on 25th May, this year is going to be slightly different with a new format, we will be moving around between three different venues, two in Havelock North, two in Haumoana, and a Team Tag Duathlon Relay at Pandora Pond.
The events at Havelock North and Haumona will be a point series race, rules around this will be sent out in the coming weeks, with the final event in the series being back at Havelock North for the Point Series Championships.
