Once again, we have planned a robust resident and student program educational program for the upcoming 2014 Vascular Annual Meeting in Boston. We are seeking volunteers to serve as faculty/mentors at the General Surgery Resident and Medical Student Open and Endovascular Simulation Training on Wednesday, June 4 and the Surgical Skills Competition on Friday, June 6. Mediterranean diet may also prevent peripheral artery disease

Two variations of the Mediterranean diet were associated with a lower risk of peripheral artery disease, compared with a control diet, in a secondary analysis of the PREDIMED randomized clinical trial, as reported in a Research Letter to the editor in the January 22/29 issue of JAMA.
