Important Dates

Important Dates

As the semester draws to a close, there are a lot of dates to think about and plan for. This week marks the end of the regular class schedule, and next week brings exams and final projects. If your student lives in on-campus housing, there are deadlines for checking out of the dorms. There are May Terms, June Terms, both on-line and on-campus. And to top that off, there is next year to think about! The Registrar’s Office has all this information and more at hope.edu/registrar.

Watch Buildings Rise Before Your Eyes

Watch Buildings Rise Before Your Eyes!

It’s an exciting time to be on campus, as two impressive new buildings are in the construction phase. The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is getting easier to imagine, as the concrete framework for the structure is now in place. It has been a sight to behold and each piece of the shell was delivered individually...and most of them in the intense snow Holland experienced this winter. Check out the live cam to see how it looks right now at hope.edu/millercenter.

The hole has now been dug for the Kruizenga Art Museum, scheduled for completion in 2015. This new building will enhance the role of the college’s Permanent Collection as a teaching tool, providing space and resources to view and conduct scholarship on works from around the world and spanning centuries. Watch this building take shape at hope.edu/kruizenga-art-museum.

Two Award-Winning Young Alumni Return to Connect with Students

Two Award-Winning Young Alumni Return to Connect with Students

Over the past fifteen years, 10,000 alumni have graduated from Hope. They are educated to think about important issues with clarity and wisdom as they bridge boundaries that divide communities. The Young Alumni Award, initiated in 2006, recognizes outstanding achievements and tells the stories of some of these alumni. This year’s recipients were Matt Scogin ‘02 and Maxine Gray ‘04. They returned to campus in March and shared their expertise with Hope’s students.
