Health Empowerment Retreat

An amazing weekend of Yoga and BodyTalk Access in Kent, 4-6 July 2014

Join us in Kent for an amazing weekend of yoga and BodyTalk Access. PaRama BodyTalk practitioner Britt Jorgensen and Jivamukti-trained yoga teacher Molly Hallam are running a fun and inspirational retreat that will literally stretch your body and your mind!

Our health empowerment course will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged. And it will give you a number of highly relevant tools to make you more proactive about your (and your family’s) health and wellbeing.

During the three days Britt will lead you through a full BodyTalk Access course. You will receive a manual and a certificate. Guided by Molly you will immerse yourself in a wide variety of Yoga disciplines. It will help you develop a solid home practice, bringing you lasting wellbeing and vitality.

All this is set against a backdrop of a beautifully restored Victorian country estate with huge unspoiled grounds waiting to be explored.

Our own chef will treat us to delicious home cooked meals - all healthy, vegetarian and largely organic.

BodyTalk Access

You will learn a set of energy based techniques to rebalance your body and help you manage daily health and well-being challenges. The six Access techniques are designed to improve your health on all levels including:
  • Increased tolerance to stress
  • Improved brain function, concentration and memory
  • Reduced muscle tension and pain
  • Improve digestion
  • Strengthened immune-system
  • Increased energy level

Yoga

The yoga at this retreat is largely inspired by the Jivamukti, which is a method of yoga created by David Life and Sharron Gannon in 1984. It reintegrates the physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga with a strong emphasis on asanas (Postures), meditation and chanting. Jivamukti (jee-va-mook-tee) means liberation whilst living, Jiva means individual soul and mukti means liberation. You will experience dynamic and restorative asana practices, meditations, pranayama (breathing exercises), tailored therapeutic yoga and support to build a solid home yoga practice including learning The Magic Ten (a series of yoga poses that can be done in 10 minutes).

All levels are welcome. Molly will cater for beginners as well as experienced yogis who prefer a challenging practice.

Schedule

Arrival is on Friday late afternoon. After an introductory meeting and a light dinner we start with the first Access class and end the evening with a meditation. Saturday morning begins with Pranayama and The Magic Ten. Mid-morning we have a longer and more vigorous yoga session. The second Access class is after lunch and will be followed by a walking meditation before dinner. Sunday also starts with Pranayama and The Magic Ten again and the final Access class is after breakfast. The afternoon is reserved to exploring the therapeutic aspects of yoga. Wrap up and bye-bye at 5 pm.

Go ahead and treat yourself. Spend three days with us for a lifetime of health empowerment:
