April has flown by with help of a nice string of long weekends we've enjoyed in Australia. In Japan, April is the start of a new year for businesses and schools. We're pleased to announce that we're kicking off our 2014 promotional activities by exhibiting at the Snow Travel Expos in Sydney and Melbourne and holding educational seminars for travel agents in conjunction.

Consumption tax in Japan has risen from 5% to 8% from 1st April 2014 affecting the prices of goods and services. Stores including department stores, fashion retailers and household electronics mega-stores showing the TAX-FREE sticker continue to offer tourists a tax refund for purchases of 10,001 yen and above. |
