Annual Oxford India Summit 2014

The Annual Oxford India Summit 2014 took place from 14-16 March 2014 at the India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi. The panel had Nata Menabde, WHO Representative to India, Dr Vivekanand Jha, Executive Director, George Institute for Global Health, India; Dr. Srinath Reddy of Public Health Foundation of India, Dr. Balram Bhargava from AIIMS, Ranjit Roychaudhuri (Apollo) and Mandar vaidya from McKinsey. The panel was moderated by Ms Amrita Tripathi, a senior anchor from a prominent media group, Network 18.

Management of Hip Fractures in Older People in India

It is estimated that by 2020, almost 20% of the Indian population will be older than 60 years, and the annual incidence of hip fractures will reach 600,000. Based on current mortality data, an estimated 40% of these individuals will die within a year. Read more >>

Dr Jeyaraj Pandian, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana

Dr Jeyaraj Pandian, President of the World Stroke Association is a key collaborator in the ATTEND trial which aims to bring the cost of stroke rehabilitation down by involving the family members. He made a presentation on the project at the Indian stroke association meeting in Kerala.
