Hello,
Isn’t it funny how if you are a student, have a child at school or work in an academic setting you have two end of the year celebrations, one in May or June and another in December?
There is so much hype during both “ends of the year” that even though I’m not in school and will not be taking the summer off to go to camp or on vacations, I can’t help but feel the excitement graduations and summer break.
We are getting ready for graduation and moving up ceremonies around here with lots of final exams and projects due in the next few weeks. Tensions are definitely running high!
But, once that last exam is complete – look out! IT’S SUMMER BREAK!!
Here a few tips for managing the final stretch:
1) If there is still time, spread out the studying. No cramming!
2) Exercise then study.
3) Take breaks to walk around or have a snack – they are really important.
4) Variety of locations can help boost memory – choose different rooms in the house, even outside or at the library or bookstore.
5) Do review a few minutes before bed – then let the brain work its magic while sleeping – that’s called consolidating.
Wishing you the best of luck as this “year” comes to a close.
