From the PTF President
Dear Veritas families,
Another school year is quickly, very quickly, coming to a close. This year has been a grandly successful one. For the past two years it has been my honor to be your PTF president. I have had a great time and we have accomplished much, thanks to the contributions and volunteer efforts of many, many of you. I have been blessed by the many notes and ideas you have shared over these two years. Thank you for taking time to be involved in what is happening at your school. Keep up the good work!
I would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to my fellow PTF officers for their dedicated hours of hard work during these past two years – Danielle Breitenwischer, vice president; Tarrow Henderson, secretary; Elise Mueller, treasurer. Beginning next week, Danielle Breitenwischer will be your new PTF president. Congratulations to her and to the entire slate of new PTF officers: Amy Hanna, vice-president; Tarrow Henderson, secretary; Julie Droog, treasurer. They will be diligently working throughout the summer to plan and organize the numerous details for the 2014-2015 PTF year.
There are many people each year who volunteer to lead one of our PTF committees. These are the volunteers who make sure each i is dotted and every t is crossed. Please join me in thanking each one of these 2013-2014 volunteers:

As a parent, the person you likely hear from the most at school is your room parent. This is often a busy and hectic job, and to each one of our room parents, (this year, all room “moms”) I say thank you, thank you, for a job most excellently done! I salute you for the many hours you devoted to making this year so grand.

To each of you who volunteered on a committee, listened to bible verses, drove on a field trip, helped in your classroom, helped to celebrate birthdays, or any one of the many other ways in which our parents give of their time – thank you! Veritas is very unique in the many ways parents can be involved in school life. Thank you also for making this year’s annual fund drive and auction extremely successful.
To all of our Veritas faculty and staff - - you are stars, one and all. Thank you for all you have done for me, for our events, our families, and our school community these past two years. There have been some changes indeed, some successful, some not. I am grateful for your patience and cooperation through all of it. And thank you, too, for your grace during the missteps.
Veritas continues to grow, and next year will see even more teachers and students. Word of what is happening here is spreading, and families are eager to be a part of it. Please join them in jumping in to all that Veritas has to offer, and all the opportunities there are to be involved in school activities. Be a part of your child’s day. Volunteer opportunities abound! Included in this edition of the Veritas Express is a
link to the 2014-2015 volunteer sign-up. We need each and every family to volunteer in at least one spot in order to have all the help needed to bring forth the many activities and events that happen each year. Please take time now to fill out and submit the form. Ask yourself the question: Where will I serve?
Thank you again for the honor of serving as your PTF president. I wish you each, one and all, a wonderful summer of fun, travel, fellowship, adventure, and rest. Stay safe, and return in August ready to once again help make Veritas the very special place it is.
