Bio:
Josh Warner (guitar/vocals), Quinn Larson (bass/vocals), and Jeff Boone (drums) started playing together in 2010, crafting a sound that put a modern twist on their love of the heavy rock of the 1970s, country western grit, and above all, the blues. Boone’s hard-hitting groove, Larson's thundering growl and Warner's aptitude to churn out tasty licks combined to create the raucous and soulful band known as The Cavalier Crooks.

They began writing songs and learning some covers, and in January of 2011 they released a four song EP (recorded on an '80s Tascam four track cassette recorder) aptly titled Four Tracks on a Four Track. Four Tracks is a raw recording, captured with a single microphone and demonstrating the live energy The Crooks were becoming known for at their shows around the Twin Cities.

In 2011 they entered Vaudeville Studios with producer Alex Proctor to record Tombstone Bullets, which was released in spring of 2012 on Dead Letter Records. Tombstone Bullets features a more polished sound while holding true to the bands roots in the blues and classic rock and roll. Shortly after Tombstone was released, Danny O’Brien of The Farewell Circuit joined to lend a hand on guitar and keys, helping fill out the bigger sound created in the studio. His textured playing and songwriting chops were a welcome addition to the band. Tombstone Bullets was re-released in a 12” vinyl format in summer of 2013.

As they continued to play out, it was becoming obvious that this was a band that was in its best form in front of an audience, so in November of 2013, with the help of engineer Ezra Hinton, the boys invited around 20 of their most devoted fans to join them in his studio. The goal was to recreate the raw edge of Four Tracks on a Four Track and capture the energy of a live Crooks show, but with the sonic fidelity of a studio recording. The result is an EP of five brand new songs titled Mojo that will be released on July 1, 2014.
