After a brutal winter, it is nice to see the temperatures reaching into the 80s.  It feels great to have the snow shovels put away after almost wearing them out, and the lawnmowers in service again.
 

We presently have 45% of our monthly financial needs committed by our partners.  In July ABWE has scheduled "Essential Missions Components" (EMC). This is 1 of 2 required training sessions which remain for us.  It is offered at the end of July and MUST be taken before we will be able to report to the field. Our assignments must be completed and our level of monthly financial commitments must be at 50% minimum of our required monthly total.  We must see an additional commitment of 5% of our required funding by July 14, or we will have to wait until July 2015, adding another year before we reach Germany.

Please pray for us that God will provide the needed amount by the end of May.  We are constantly aware that everything is according to God's timing and will, but as Jesus told us, we do not have, because we do not ask.  Kathy and I have fasted and prayed seeking God's will and asking for His provision. On Wednesday, May 14, we are asking for all who are willing and able to join us in prayer and fasting, again asking that God would provide our needs, not only for 50%, but also for 100%, so that we may attend our final training in November and be in Germany by the end of 2014. Please join with us in approaching the throne of grace.  We have been greatly blessed by your prayers.  We hear from many of you who have told us that you are praying continually for us - THANK YOU!  That has meant so much to us to know that there are many partners who are joined with us to ask God to reach Germany with the "Good News".
 

We would like to communicate pictorially where we stand as God continues to provide for our financial needs to reach Germany.  We are posting on our Facebook page, our web site, and in this newsletter a graphic representation of our financial needs remaining at this point.  The map of Germany has been divided into 42 sections. each section has been assigned various monthly dollar amounts.  As we gain more financial partners, we will color in a section of the appropriate amount.  Everyone may then see at any point where we stand on our goal.  When the entire map is filled in, it will be time for us to head to Germany!   
 

As a team, it is critical that we work together (as always) on our goal of reaching Germany for Christ. Presently that takes the form of praying for Germany, i.e. that God would prepare the German people's hearts to accept and respond to the "Message of Hope", and to prepare us for what He has called us to do.  It is critical that God provide a partnership team to meet the prayer and financial needs for a ministry in Germany.  

What can you do for the "McClain's in Germany" team?
1.  Continue to pray - we need that most of all.
2.  If you are able and willing, join us in fasting & praying on  Wednesday, May 14.
3.  If you know of a church or anyone who you think would be interested in hearing our story, please contact us (by phone, e-mail, text, etc.) with their contact information.
4.  Please contact these churches and individuals and let us know when you contact them, so that we can follow-up immediately.
5. Keep praying!  That is the most important thing!
