Thank you for signing up for the Brusso Hardware newsletter. Since the launch of our new website we have been using this newsletter to keep in touch with our customers. We'd like to keep you informed with relevant information and updates about our company and our products. We also want to create a dialogue with our customers, so feel free to reach out to us through our contact page or on Facebook.
In the Summer edition of our newsletter we will be sharing a video of our product, telling you about a new product not from Brusso, and letting you in on a top secret project.
Brusso has been a proud sponsor of the WoodTalk podcast for some time now (if you don't listen, you should!). Recently TheWoodWhisperer.com featured our CB-302 hinges in a beautiful box Marc put together with Gary Rogowski. In it, Marc and Gary go over a variety of box making concepts including finger joints, dowel reinforcement, and hinge installation. Small Screw Best Practices
We at Brusso hate broken screws as much as you. Because of that we've worked up this handy guide that covers our tips on how to safely install our small brass screws and what steps to take to remove the screws after the worst has happened.
Have any thoughts on the subject. Let us know.
Stainless Steel Door Spindle from B&M Machine Co
So let's be clear this isn't a Brusso Hardware product at all. However, we would like to share with you a new product from Brusso's partner B&M Machine Co for two reasons. First, the fixed Stainless Steel Door Spindle may be a useful product to many of our newsletter subscribers. The door spindles are made from corrosion resistant 304 Stainless Steel. This makes the product ideal for use in marine and coastal applications and is made to the same precision tolerances you have come to expect from Brusso Hardware.
The second reason we want to share this product with you is to help explain our philosophy on keeping American manufacturing relevant and successful in the 21st century. We are all familiar with the growth of offshore manufacturing due to improved information transfer and reduced labor costs overseas. This means that most large run, low quality manufacturing work can profitably be exported overseas for lower priced products.
The spindle demonstrates the philosophy we hope will continue to make Brusso successful. By keeping our production domestic and closer to the customers we feel we can offer more value to our customers through better service and higher quality products. When customer service calls are handled in the same building that parts are manufactured issues get resolved quickly and products can be improved based off customer feedback.
We see the stainless steel spindle as an example of that kind of improvement. This is a niche product that provides a high value to a select market of customers. This means medium sized volume, high quality, excellent service, and two-way communication between manufacturer and customer. This, to us, seems to be a recipe of successful manufacturing in the United States for years to come and it's what we've tooled our shop to provide.
TOP SECRET PRODUCT!
We at Brusso Hardware appreciate all the faithful readers of our newsletter. Because of that we're going to share with you something the world has never seen before. It is the first 3D Printed prototype of the next addition to the Brusso Hardware line. This still in development and, of course, the final product will be made from brass but this will give you and idea of what we have in the works.
As we mentioned, we always appreciate customer feedback. Have any new ideas on what new products we should be offering? Let us know. We want to make this product the best it can be.
Customer Submitted Photos
Sadly this season we have no new customer submitted photos to share. Help us remedy this issue in our fall newsletter by sending us photos of your projects featuring Brusso Hardware.
