Radionics "Black Box"     by Christopher Bird

The father of this movement was Dr. Albert Abrams
, a professor of pathology at Stanford University's medical school. Basing his discoveries on the philosophy that all matter radiates information that can be detected by his instruments in conjunction with the unconscious reflexes of another human being, Abrams succeeded in attracting a large following and also arousing the unremitting ire of the medical and scientific establishment. Thousands of self-professed healers were effecting cures, making diagnoses, and even removing pests from gardens merely by twisting dials, swinging pendulums, or rubbing their fingers across strange devices., The following passage describes the use of one such instrument known as the Delawarr machine:
Suppose that it is required to find out the condition of a patient's liver. We place a bloodspot or saliva sample in one of the two containers at the top of the main panel, according to whether the patient is male or female, and start turning the tuning knob slowly, passing the fingers of the right hand over the rubber detector at the same time with a series of "brushing" strokes until a "stick" is obtained. The patient's bloodspot is then tuned into the set.
The stick refers to a particular rubbing sensation in the finger. The location of the dials when the "stick" occurs, when properly translated is said to indicate the diagnosis of the disease. When the disease is tuned in to the instrument, the cure can be "broadcast" over any distance, to the patient.
Other radionic developments are said to have been even more startling, such as the camera developed by the Los Angeles chiropractor, Ruth Drown. Using nothing but a drop of blood, it is claimed that this camera could take pictures of the organs and tissues of patients-sometimes at a distance of thousands of miles. She also claimed to take pictures in "cross-section" a feat that cannot be duplicated even with X-rays. While she received a British patent for her apparatus, Drown was persecuted as a charlatan by the FDA.
A story about Drown's ability is told by the cosmologist Arthur M. Young, who invented the Bell helicopter:
Ruth Drown was truly an angelic sort of a person--if you can imagine an angel in the flesh. She started reeling off these Pythagorean relationships that just made my mind spin. I couldn't keep up with her.
It wasn't on the first occasion, but maybe on the second, that I wanted to put her to a test. I was at that time having a toothache. So I asked her if she would diagnose my condition and take a photograph. But I didn't tell her anything. And she took these photographs that were about eight by ten. It looked like a very detailed picture of teeth.
She put the film in this box, but there were no lenses or anything like that. Whatever this radiation was, it exposed the film. It was not done with light. And she got a photograph of the tooth.
Being scientific in nature, I said, "Now do it again." This was all in the dark. She couldn't see me. So I pressed the tooth hard with my finger to make it hurt more, to see what would happen. The next picture was an enlargement of this same tooth.
Today there are two developments effecting the standing of radionics. On the one hand, researchers in a new area dubbed psychotronics are taking a serious interest in understanding the possible mechanisms such instrumentation might have., In fact, several new radionics devices have recently been manufactured with computerized components. At the time of this writing, there is no clear indication that such new devices represent any genuine advance in the arcane art of radionics. There is no reason to suspect that a major breakthrough is at hand. On the other hand, a number of radionic practitioners and investigators have reported that after becoming proficient in the use of the "black boxes," they were able to obtain the same effects without them.,
One radionics expert, Frances Farrelly, demonstrated her ability to work without her instrument at the International Conference on Psychotronics in Prague in 1973:
...she was confronted by a professor from the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences who gave her a chip of mineralized rock and asked her before a large audience if she could state its origin and age. Rubbing the table before her to get a radionic type "stick," Farrelly, after putting a dozen questions to herself, stated that the mineral in question came from a meteor and was about 3,200,000 years old, answers which exactly matched the most considered conclusions of expert Czech mineralogists.
It was her contention she had learned to "run the instrument in [her] head." Perhaps, then, the "black box" is to radionics what the pencil is to arithmetic -- a tool for focusing consciousness within the structure of a disciplined system.

Interview: A leading radionic medical diagnostician for doctor’s clients discusses her decades of research and experience with the "black boxes" of radionics, as well as her own sensitivity.

Hugh Lovel teaching Radionic Agriculture to Adam Collins of Far Northern Queensland Biodynamic Association

A Texan farmer goes to Australia on vacation. There he meets an Aussie farmer and gets to talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, “Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice that size!”

They walk around the cattle station a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately replies, “We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows.”

The conversation has died down when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asks the Aussie, “What are those?”

The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, “Don’t you have any grasshoppers in Texas?”
The Transformation of the Food System,                                                    and Its Effects on Wellness
Stephan A. Schwartz

This is a trend that is changing the world, and it has enormous implications for wellness at every level of society.
Stephan Swartz has become a good friend over the past two decades, before that time he was the best friend  to my dear late husband Christopher Bird. Stephan is the editor of the daily web publication The SchwartzReport     http://www.schwartzreport.netwhich concentrates on trends that will shape the future, an area of research he has been working in since the mid-1960s. He is also the Senior Samueli Fellow in Brain, Mind and Healing at the Samueli Institute. For over 35 years, Schwartz has also been an active experimentalist doing research on the nature of consciousness; particularly Remote Viewing, healing, creativity, religious ecstasy, and meditation. He is the author of several books and numerous papers, technical reports, and general audience articles on these topics.  Shabari Bird

Farms and Farmers
One of the greatest stories we tell ourselves is the one about the homesteading pioneer farmer. One of Abraham Lincoln’s unsung gifts to America was a series of Federal laws, one of the most life-affirming governmental actions in our history, The Homestead Acts. These three acts made it possible for people of small economic means to acquire farmland, originally 160 acres, from the vast Federal holdings. The first one became law when Lincoln signed it on May 20, 1862, and tens of thousands of citizens and immigrants poured out across the land. It is an incredible story. Your family may have been touched by it.
According to the 2007 Census of Agriculture, 87% of the farms in this country are still owned and operated by individuals or families, although this number is rapidly declining.7 In 1935, when the U.S. population was 127 million citizens, there were 6.8 million farms family farms. In 2007, when the population was 301 million, there were only 2.2 million, and just 8% of them, 187,816, accounted for 63% of agricultural products.
The long-range outlook for family farms looks even worse. Those farmers that still remain are middle-aged or older. According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture:
The average age of U.S. farm operators increased from 55.3 in 2002 to 57.1 in 2007. The number of operators 75 years and older grew by 20 percent from 2002, while the number of operators under 25 years of age decreased 30 percent.
Less than a third of these farms have a successor in the family. Not a lot of young people want to work 12–16hours a day, often seven days a week, and end up with an income equivalent to their father's or grandfather's income 30 years ago.
The Census of Agriculture explains what has happened as this decline occurred,
“As the number of farmers has declined, the demand for agricultural products has increased. This increased demand has been met (and exceeded) with the aid of large-scale mechanization (the use of large, productive pieces of farm equipment), improved crop varieties, commercial fertilizers, and pesticides).”7
Thus the groundwork was laid for a new chemical-centered industrial agriculture.
The Fairtrade Foundation, which tracks the relationship between small farmers and corporations throughout the world, recently issued a report on the concentration of the food-growing part of the system into the control of another tiny group of megacorporations, noting:
Putting too much power into hands of too few companies increases the risk of exploitation in food supply chains, where producers have no choice but to sell for low prices, while consumers face a bewildering array of products on shop shelves even though their purchases benefit only a small number of brands. Unless we do something now, millions of small farmers are condemned to poverty. If they are in crisis, and farmers see no future in farming, then many of our foods could be at risk.
In addition to this, farming land is being taken out of agricultural use for development. “The American Farmland Trust estimates an acre of U.S. farmland goes into development every two minutes, while Environment Colorado estimates the state lost 1.26 million acres of agricultural land between 1997 and 2002,” The Denver Post reported. “This loss averages 690 acres per day in Colorado, the third highest in the nation.”
Statistics Canada said the situation there is similar, as the amount of farms surveyed by the census “continues to drop, according to data from the 2006 Census of Agriculture, declining 7.1% to 229,373 farms over the five-year period between the censuses…This represents 17,550 fewer farms than in 2001.”9
The structure of American food production today bears little resemblance to the bucolic world of legend.

Genetically modified organisms (GMO)
As genetic engineering technologies developed, it became clear that enormous profit could be made through the actual ownership of life forms, not any specific individual animals or plants, but literally that form of life. Companies like Monsanto, DuPont, and Syngenta moved very quickly to create the seed, genetics, pesticide/herbicide marriage that produced GMO corn, soy, wheat, cottonseed and other transgenic crops. In 20 years this field has gone from nonexistent to having overwhelming control. Consider the following:
(1)Corn: Corn is the No. 1 crop grown in the U.S.—88% is genetically modified.
(2)Soy: 93% of soy is genetically modified.
(3)Cottonseed: 94% of cotton grown in the U.S. is GM.
(4)Alfalfa: The food of dairy cows and, thus, what they produce.
(5)Papaya: 75% of the Hawaiian papaya crop is GM.
(6)Canola: Roughly 90% is GM.
(7)Sugar beets: 54% of the sugar sold in America comes from sugar beets, 90% of which is GM.
Seeds
The same six companies that were on the cutting edge of genetic engineering also moved to capture the general seed market. In January 2005, Monsanto purchased Seminis, Inc., one of the leading vegetable and seed companies in the country.
The Organic Seed Alliance wrote at the time, “It is estimated that Seminis controls 40 percent of the U.S. vegetable seed market and 20 percent of the world market—supplying the genetics for 55 percent of the lettuce on U.S. supermarket shelves, 75 percent of the tomatoes, and 85 percent of the peppers, with strong holdings in beans, cucumbers, squash, melons, broccoli, cabbage, spinach and peas. The company's biggest revenue source comes from tomato and peppers seeds, followed by cucumbers and beans.”
Dupont, Syngenta, Bayer, Dow, and BASF followed suit and, within less than 15 years, they controlled literally hundreds of formerly independent seed companies. Over 75% of all seeds sold today, both natural and GM, are controlled by them. It is notable that this ownership is made almost invisible because these seed operations continue to be sold under their old labels.
We are now in a second phase, seeds have been patented and farmers who use them are aggressively pursued if they do not follow the strict rules that come with the GM seeds. And in June of this year a three-judge Court of Appeals panel ruled that non-GMO farmers and seed companies may bring a lawsuit to protect themselves from Monsanto’s transgenic seeds accidentally blowing into their fields, because Monsanto, “has made binding assurances that it will not’ take legal action against growers whose crops might inadvertently contain traces of Monsanto biotech genes (because, for example, some transgenic seed or pollen blew onto the grower's land).”
It seems to have gone almost unnoticed by both the court and the media, that Monsanto’s assurances arose precisely because they anticipated their altered genes to spread into nature. The nearly concurrent discovery of transgenic wheat in a field in Oregon, where it should not have been, makes this point. So Monsanto is protected both ways. They can sue farmers who use their seeds, but farmers whose crops are affected cannot sue. It has proven an enormously profitable strategy. But has it improved wellness?
What appears to be the emerging answer is: No.
Global Research posted this on 10 April, “A breakthrough report on the nutritional density of genetically-modified (GM) corn crops demolishes all existing claims that GMOs are “substantially equivalent” to non-GMOs. Entitled 2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn, the paper reveals not only that GMO corn is greatly lacking in vitamins and minerals compared to non-GMO corn, but also that it is highly toxic and filled with deadly crop chemicals like glyphosate (Roundup).”
The 2012 report goes on to say:
Concerning energy content, as measured in terms of ERGS, non-GMO corn was found in tests to give off 3,400 times more energy per gram, per second compared to GMO corn, an astounding variance. And as far as its overall percentage of organic matter is concerned, non-GMO corn was determined to have nearly twice as much of this vital component compared to GMO corn.
Non-GMO corn contains substantially more potassium, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, and manganese.
The field comparison also evaluated individual nutrient deviations, which revealed some shocking facts. Potassium, which is necessary for energy production and proper cellular function, is barely even present in GMO corn, having clocked in at 0.7 parts per million (ppm). In non-GMO corn, however, potassium levels were more than 13 times higher, testing at 9.2ppm.
The disparity was even worse for magnesium, which tested at a mere 0.2ppm in GMO corn. In non-GMO corn, however, magnesium levels were found to be 46 times higher than in non-GMO corn. Similar variances were observed for calcium, sulfur, and manganese as well, with the contents of each being 12.4, 14, and seven times higher, respectively.
And then there is what happens to animals that are fed GMOs. I covered this in my previous essay, in the January issue, The Great Experiment: Genetically Modified Organisms, Scientific Integrity, and National Wellness.12 It is a story that leaves one wondering whether commercialized GMOs are not a planetary wide mass animal experiment, and we are the animals being used for the tests.
Marketing
The same process that has occurred with farms and seeds, is also taking place in the marketing of the food system. This is taken from the University of Missouri report, Concentration of Agricultural Markets. a study by researchers Mary Hendrickson and William Heffernan:
●Four Beef Packers control 83.5% of all beef packing.
●Four Pork Packers control 66% of the market.
●Four companies control 58% of Broilers (chicken) market.
●Five companies control 48% of food retailing.
●Three companies mill 55% of all the flour milled in the U.S.
●Four companies control dairy processing
Each year this consolidation grows, not just nationally but internationally.
But more pernicious than almost anything else is the effect the corporate ascendency has had on the institutions of our democracy. To preserve the appearance of democracy, politicians have to vote. How to get them to vote? Basically by indirectly purchasing their services as agents of the corporate state. To make that legally possible it is first necessary to legitimize corruption.
Politics is ruled by advertising, so when the 2010 Supreme Court, in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, freed corporations and unions to buy unlimited advertising on behalf of politicians who represented their views, a system of what amounted to legalized bribery was created.
This inevitably led to things such as HR933, known usually as the “Monsanto Protection Act,” signed into law by President Obama in March 2013. It is an astonishing piece of legislation. The act is exquisitely timed. Just as it is becoming clear that the introduction of GM plants and organisms into nature and the food chain may be fraught with unintended consequences, an act has been passed that frees them from any concern about lawsuits for damage claims.
As described in the International Business Times, “The ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of controversial genetically modified (aka GMO) or genetically engineered (GE) seeds, no matter what health issues may arise concerning GMOs in the future. The advent of genetically modified seeds—which has been driven by the massive Monsanto Company—and their exploding use in farms across America came on fast and has proved a huge boon for Monsanto’s profits.”
Republican senator Roy Blount of Missouri, who had received $108,000 from Monsanto since he was elected to the Senate in 2010, coincidentally invited Monsanto to help him write the act. That is right. The company that the act was designed to regulate wrote the legislation designed to regulate it. How do we know that the company wrote its own protections with the Senator’s help? Because as Politico reporter David Rodgers reported, “In the case of the Monsanto rider, Blunt said he worked with the company and had a valuable partner in the late chairman, Inouye, who was sympathetic given Monsanto's large seed operations in Hawaii.”16
Corruption? You be the judge. But if it is, it is all perfectly legal. Here is another example of how this works.
In his New York Times story, investigative report Richard Oppel explains, “a dozen or so state legislatures have… proposed or enacted bills that would make it illegal to covertly videotape livestock farms, or apply for a job at one without disclosing ties to animal rights groups. They have also drafted measures to require such videos to be given to the authorities almost immediately, which activists say would thwart any meaningful undercover investigation of large factory farms. Critics call them ‘Ag-Gag’ bills…”
One of the group’s model bills, ‘The Animal and Ecological Terrorism Act,’ prohibits filming or taking pictures on livestock farms to ‘defame the facility or its owner.’ Violators would be placed on a ‘terrorist registry.
How convenient this is at a time when there seem to be almost weekly recalls of beef, pork, or chicken. As I am writing, Manda Packing, a Lousiana Company, has just issued a 468,000 pound recall of roast beef, ham, turkey breast, tasso pork, ham shanks, hog headcheese, corned beef, and pastrami.
It should surprise no one that many of the Ag-Gag bills were written for the legislators by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a corporate-funded think tank, an advocacy group that produces draft legislation like “The Animal Terrorism Act,”and then funnels it out to state legislatures across the country. ALEC is best known for its voter-suppression schemes. You can see a pattern.
The question we have to ask is: With the transformation of the American food system, are we getting healthier? Is national wellness increasing?

Processing of Food
There may still be controversy on the health effects of GMOs that has arisen under this new corporatized food sector, but there are other issues for which there is much greater certainty. For instance, in the processing of food too much salt is added. Over-abundant salt intake was a factor in nearly 2.3 million deaths from heart attacks, strokes, and other heart-related causes that occurred worldwide. Fifteen percent of all heart-related deaths that occurred in 2010, were salt related, according to a Harvard study.
Nearly one million of those deaths—40%—were considered premature and caused by eating too much salt.
“National and global public health measures, such as comprehensive sodium reduction programs, could potentially save millions of lives,” said lead author Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, an associate professor of medicine and epidemiology at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health.13
The processed food this system produces is also filled with sugar as well as salt.
Sanjay Basu, an assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, leads a team that explored the availability of sugar in a national diet and the national diabetes rates. They examined data from 175 countries worldwide over a period of 10 years.
We’re not diminishing the importance of obesity at all,” Basu said, “but these data suggest that at a population level there are additional factors that contribute to diabetes risk besides obesity and total calorie intake, and that sugar appears to play a prominent role.
Basu explained that the study “provides the first large-scale, population-based evidence for the idea that not all calories are equal from a diabetes risk standpoint,” and suggests sugar has “a direct, independent link to diabetes.”20
The team also discovered that as countries developed and what they called “excess sugar” became available in the national diet, that the incidence of diabetes increased, and the longer the diet was available, the more it increased. Only further studies will establish the linkage absolutely but, as with incidence of salt, the presence of sugar in the kind of food that this new agriculture system produces does not bode well for health. In the National Institutes of Health report of 17 high-income nations the U.S. is near or at the bottom in these indicators: infant mortality, heart and lung disease, sexually transmitted infections, and adolescent pregnancies. America is also at or near the bottom on these systemic indicators: injuries, homicides, and rates of disability.
U.S. males are at the very bottom of the list for life expectancy, amongst the 17 countries; on average, the life of a U.S. male is almost four years less than in top-ranked Switzerland. American females do not do much better, ranking 16th of the 17. In an interview with Carey Biron of Inter Press Service, Steven H. Woolf, a professor of family medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University and chair of the panel that wrote the report, said, “We were stunned by the propensity of findings all on the negative side—the scope of the disadvantage covers all ages, from babies to seniors, both sexes, all classes of society.”
In the end, as with our failing healthcare system, it comes down to this question: which is more important, the wellness of the many or the profit of the few?
