Return to secret ballot

The Board welcomes the introduction of legislation to return to the democratic standard of secret ballot votes for workers when they are deciding if they want to be unionized. Your Board of Trade has worked diligently, respectfully and effectively over the past two years in this regard. We commend the Government for this policy direction.

  
 
 

Bringing city hall to local businesses
Staff and councillors from city hall joined members of the board on Tuesday evening for the second business familiarization tour. The tour provided a forum for local business owners and city officials to dialogue about the good work and the challenges to doing business in the City.

BDC Entrepreneurial Resiliency Award

The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is seeking nominations for the BDC Entrepreneurial Resiliency Award.
They are looking for applicants to share their inspirational story about how they overcame challenges to their business and bounced back stronger.
The BDC Entrepreneurial Resiliency Award is presented in collaboration with the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) – Montreal Chapter.
