Seeking First:

An update from Mike & Marianne Botting

Please shine down on me!

We celebrated Mike's 31st birthday in May by baking his birthday cake in his new solar oven, which was made by Marianne and Tom. We're enjoying having baked goods and home made breads in the house! We also got our solar panels up, which is helping our work from being interrupted due to frequent power outages. It's also provided the house with a nice warm glow at night.

Still going strong!

We met a man from Pagwari village last week, who told us that the 2 Bible study groups that were trained in last year's Jesus Film ministry are still going strong, and the groups are growing larger!

CHE Update: Patongo & Kalongo

We are well on our way towards our goal of training the next 2 Archdeaconries (Patongo and Kalongo). CHE TOT1 (the first in a series of 3 trainings) was held in Patongo from May 11th-16th. We had the great privilege of witnessing Sulina give her life to Christ!

The training was supposed to be the week before, but it was delayed by meetings to address an internal conflict in the Diocese (our partner). We praise God that reconciliation has been reached after 12 years. Everyone involved has called it a true miracle.

We are also pleased to report that CHE Educators have started doing home surveys and will soon be starting home visiting in Pajule, and that Kazi Kazi has finished training their local Committee! These are the first 2 Parishes to move onto the next stage of CHE. We are delighted, and praying the other Parishes will soon follow. Already, other parishes that had stalled have started gaining momentum again.
