You are receiving this email because you are awesome and want to stay updated on the Historic BID and our fantastic neighborhood.

Broadway revitalization continues as the Globe Theater prepares to re-open in the upcoming months.  While construction moves quickly ahead on the inside, the outside now has a new refurbished marquee that harkens back to the Globe Theater's history and reflects the neon dazzle of the Historic Core.

Join us on Tuesday, June 24th at 7:30pm as we re-light the marquee and celebrate with Councilmember Huizar and other Broadway stakeholders.
Broadway roadway construction continues as we welcome a new traffic-calmed streetscape with extra pedestrian spaces, loading zones, parking bump-outs and consolidated bus stops.  Stay up-to-date on the Broadway Streetscape dress rehearsal construction.
Week by week information is available on our website.

Please help us by taking our short Demographic Survey!

We're learning who's here, what needs still exist, and how we operate as a community. Share it with your friends, co-workers, and anyone else who spends time in the Historic Core.  As a thank you for taking the time to complete the short survey, you'll be entered to win prizes from local businesses.

Once the surveying is complete, we'll compile the results and share them here and on our website.

If you have any questions or feedback about the survey, please contact info@historicbid.com.
With no major grocery store within a nearly mile of the Historic Core, our neighborhood is getting creative in how we shop for groceries until more options are here.  Thanks to Two Bits Market and Om Nom Organics, there are local places to grab ingredients and healthy produce options.

The Historic Downtown Farmers Market, every Sunday on 5th St, brings grocery opportunities to the area as farmers and vendors sell their foods.

To tap into local food grocers, growers, and producers, there's KaleCart, providing delivery on bicycle, and Good Eggs, bringing you locally made foods from across Los Angeles.

For more extensive grocery shopping, however, there is a new chain grocery store delivery service. Instacart brings Whole Foods, Ralphs, and Costco right to your door. And since they're all about the neighborhood, they're offering $10 off and free delivery to us! Use the promo code HISTORICCORE, redeem the offer here.

A special shoutout is in order to our intern, Michael Kirk. Michael's generously donated time and effort was a tremendous help to our office this year. We're sad to see him go but excited for what's next for him.
Thanks, Michael!
Thanks for your support and love of Downtown LA's Historic Core!
