Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world

.....

“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.” - Vincent van Gogh

The Kickstarter campaign is finished.. and the Vancouver Jump for Joy Photo mural has been funded!

Now the real work begins. Over the next couple of weeks
while I wait for the kickstarter money to process, I will be doing jumping shoots with people who pledged to be on the wall and will begin organizing the photos to begin the mural.. exciting!!

<3 Thank you to everyone who helped to create this fun, uplifting art project and for spreading JOY <3

In the news this week:

A sweet mention in the Times Colonist by the lovely Aliyah O'Brien, one of my fabulous JOYful jumpers.

Fabulous featured jumper of the week:

STEPHANIE WIRIAHARDJA! Like Jump for Joy! Featuring Stephanie Wiriahardja on Facebook

STEPHANIE WIRIAHARDJA ...

From: I'm originally from Jakarta, Indonesia.

Lives: I moved here to the beautiful Vancouver in 2004 to pursue my education and to join my sisters who were already here.
Work: During the day, I work at
HootSuite as the Global Ambassador Lead. At night, I work remotely for Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran and grow my newest side venture, The Selfie Guru.

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
I've always loved to jump. In fact, I have a personal collection of my jumping photos taken all around the world, so when I found out about this Jump for Joy project, I knew I had to take part.

Q. Your experience doing jumping photos?
A:
It was so much fun! I was a little nervous because I've never met Eyoälha before and I don't know how many jumping styles is she expecting. But all those worries disappear as soon as I saw her smile. Lucky for me too, there were 2 others there cheering me on!

Q: What inspires you in life?
A:
I am inspired by anything and everything. I think there's a value in everything we do and experience, even the most mundane tasks.

Q: Your greatest passion?
A:
I love seeing those around me succeed doing what they love the most. I always look for opportunities to support others, whether it is through speaking gigs, mentorship, or simply connecting and directing them to the right resources.

Q: Your driving force?
A:
Happiness. I put lots of love and passion to everything that I do and it really shows.

Q: Philosophy?
A:
I live and breathe my own philosophy: "The Dandelion Theory". I strive to grow, evolve, and spread inspiration and happiness to those around me much like a dandelion.

Q: Anything in the world?
A: I want to experience everything at least once. This life is too short to be boring! Some of my proudest moments thus far: traveled to 8 cities and hosted 20 events in 45 days, gave a TED talk, had 48 raw oysters in one sitting, initiated a free hugs day, worked for the Winter Olympics 2010, skydived and air triked.

Q. Working on?
A:
I am currently working to grow my side business, which is… selling selfie sticks! Yes, you read that right. When I traveled to Southeast Asia last month, I realized how handy it was to have this little tool and so I decided to introduce it to Vancouverites!

Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A:
I'm an introvert! Although I've done quite a few speaking gigs and represent my companies in many events, deep inside I'm just this scared little girl. I had to pinch myself every time before I go to an event and channel in my alter ego, stephawie. Despite being a (closet) introvert, I never let it get the best of me.
