UpFront News and Information from the City of St. Peters
Construction is underway this year on a variety of storm water control and park projects thanks to funding made possible by Proposition P. St. Peters’ voters passed Proposition P in 2012 to authorize a four-tenths of a cent sales tax to pay for storm water and parks improvements and maintenance.

Prop P projects have begun to retrofit basins so that they do the job they are supposed to do: filter out pollutants and slowly release storm water to nearby streams. This way, we improve water quality and address neighborhood flooding for all residents who live downstream from these projects.

Our parks system is also getting a much-needed boost from Prop P funding, including construction at 370 Lakeside Park to add an archery range and a corporate pavilion. The archery range is complete, while the corporate pavilion is expected to open later this year.

Water Conservation Notice to Begin on June 2

City of St. Peters and City of St. Charles officials have issued a joint notice asking their customers to conserve water during the period of June 2-5. This water conservation notice will be in effect as the cities’ secondary water supply line from the City of St. Louis is shut off for a water main repair. Missouri American Water customers will not be affected by this notice.

ST. PETERS' SUMMER CAMPS
Fun & Convenient

Looking for a fun and convenient summer camp experience? The City of St. Peters offers Rec-Plex Activities & Sports Camps, plus Art Experience Camps, all at one central location on the St. Peters City Centre campus on Mexico Road.

Diane Mispagel chose St. Peters Summer Camps for her children, Nicholas and Natalie, because they gave her kids lots to do and made Mom’s life easier. “As a full-time working Mom, convenience is important,” Diane said. “St. Peters’ camps also provided the opportunity for before and after care. I also liked that the kids could buy their lunch at the Rec-Plex.”

Rec-Plex campers can enjoy swimming, ice skating, indoor and outdoor play, Friday field trips and more. Rec-Plex Sports Camps offer a choice of soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, Rink Rats hockey and figure skating. And, Art Experience Campers at the Cultural Arts Centre can exercise the imagination and create some summertime masterpieces. Fencing and Theater Camps are also available at the Cultural Arts Centre this summer.

St. Peters Summer Camps are available through the week of Aug. 4-8. Advance registration is required. Click here to learn more …
