Acts of Bravery

Firefighters do more than just put out fires. They risk their lives every day to help people from all manner of threats and dangers. Some of these heroes were recently honored with an LAFD Award, given to brave men and women who go above and beyond to protect members of the community. Drill, Baby, Drill

Recently, State and Federal rescue organizations participated in the MOBEX drill (mobilization exercise) in SoCal. During the massive practice run, they trained for when disaster strikes. It even involved a plane crash movie set! See some photos on Flickr.
