Every month, learn more about one of our members. This month, learn more about Nespresso, who was one of our Bronze Sponsors for the FABA 2014.

Can you present Nespresso in a few words?
Nespresso is the pioneer of portioned coffee and a leader in the global coffee market. The Nespresso story began with a simple but revolutionary idea: enable anyone to create the perfect cup of espresso coffee, sourced from the top 1-2% of beans from around the world. For more than 25 years, the Nespresso brand concept has redefined the way millions of people enjoy their espresso coffee and has grown into one of the most recognized brands in the world of coffee. In the U.S., Nespresso has been providing high-quality coffee and smart design to consumers for more than ten years, with thirty Boutiques in locations across the U.S., including one in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square. To further appeal to U.S. coffee aficionados, Nespresso has just launched a new system, VertuoLine, which brews both large-cup coffee and traditional espresso to appeal to North American tastes. The new system will enable Nespresso to build on the brand’s success in the North American market and in the growing portioned coffee segment.

What are the major services you offer?
Nespresso provides the ultimate coffee experience through premium portioned coffee capsules and stylish machines that brew excellent coffee at the touch of a button, every time. Overwhelmingly, U.S. coffee drinkers are looking for higher quality coffee experiences at home. We’re finding that more and more consumers value well-made, ethically sourced, high-quality coffee, evident by our rapidly growing customer base in the U.S. Nespresso empowers customers to be their own barista and enjoy a luxury café quality experience at home. In addition to the at-home offerings, Nespresso offers a full range of smart and stylish machines and Grand Cru coffees dedicated to professional use to businesses in over 50 countries – from hotels to offices to restaurants. The B2B machines include the latest technological advances and they are specifically developed to complement the 8 B2B Grand Crus.

What are Nespresso’s links with France?
France has a rich and historic epicurean history that Nespresso is excited to be a part of, and with 26 boutiques across France, it is a key market for the brand. The French are well-known for curating the finest gastronomic experiences in the world, and their understanding and appreciation for the best in culinary offerings, including premium coffee, makes it a natural fit for Nespresso
