Successful Shows, New Venues, Current Projects & More

Never a dull moment in the month of May! It started out with a *bang* at Vale Arts "Art: (un) Vale'd" show the first weekend. I had thirteen new large watercolors (six, never before seen) on exhibit and a wealth of cards and reproductions available for purchase. The weather was gorgeous and we had a steady crowd all weekend. It was so much fun and a success as well!

The second week of May, I did two new watercolors, a commission and a wedding gift for some friends who got engaged at the Jefferson Memorial last year. This was quickly followed by a second Arlington Artists Alliance art show, that was a huge success.

After that show, spring cleaning hit my portfolio. I've been cutting things up, painting things over, rematting, reframing, etc. Many of these re-imagined pieces will be at venues this summer

Show: Holiday Inn - Ballston, Arlington, VA

If you are looking for a place to have Sunday brunch, consider stopping by the Holiday Inn. The Arlington Artists Alliance keeps the ground floor restaurant filled with artwork, new each month. Both paintings and three-dimensional works are on display and available for purchase. Parking is in a reserved lot, but tickets can be validated by the staff if you eat or just tell them that you came by to see the artwork (when the restaurant is open).

I have just received some reproductions of my local architectural watercolors. Jefferson in Fall is above and I also have Pope Leighey House, Spring on the Tidal Basin, and Colvin Run Mill. Prints are $15 and come in an 8" X 10" mat. Click on the pictures and it will take you to my website.

One of my favorite Arlington neighborhoods will be showing my printmaking work for the month of June. Drop by Luna Grill and take a look at my artwork before a night at Signature Theatre or just walk around and people watch. Have a drink or a cupcake in this charming part of town.

Two of my new watercolor paintings, Rural Route and Clock Watcher (and a few smaller works) are on display at Stifel & Capra at 260 W Broad Street in Falls Church. I have other reproductions and cards downstairs too.

Note Cards!

I have a large selection of note cards available on my website. You can choose individual cards, a package of eight of the same card or one of the packages that have two or four different designs. There are great cards for general correspondence, birthdays or thank you notes. New designs feature the Spring on the Tidal Basin, Pope Leighey House, and Colvin Run Mill.
