Friday 6: Dan (CRMF Administrator) & Shannon Perrett, together with daughters Emily, Lucy and Ella, have just left PNG to resettle in Australia.  Give thanks for them and also Canadians Lowell (pilot) & Gail Deering, with son Tobin, who leave MAF today after many years of service in PNG and in Cairns.

Saturday 7: The MAF Arnhem Land staff conference is taking place this weekend.  Pray for a great time of unity and also for God’s blessing on this year’s guest speaker Tim Meyers from the Melbourne School of Theology.

Sunday 8: Give thanks for the life of one of the founders of MAF in the UK, New Zealander Murray Kendon, who passed away on Tuesday 27 May.

Monday 9: New baby girls have been born into the MAF family recently – Annabelle Elizabeth on 13 May in Victoria to Mif & Andy Little, Raquel Charissa Wesley on 19 May in Arnhem Land to Helena & John Hermanus, Charis Eliana on 24 May in Victoria to Janae & Paul Denness and Olivia Grace on 27 May in Arnhem Land to Tiina & Peter Higham.  Pray for ongoing health and strength for these mothers and babies.

Tuesday 10: Praise God for the visit of MAF Bangladesh founders Robert Hatfield and Norman Latham.  They were in Bangladesh last week to attend the 65th year celebration of the Bangladesh Flying Academy and General Aviation and spend time in the MAF Bangladesh programme.

Wednesday 11: An MAF media team arrive in Bangladesh today for a week.  Pray that their visit is encouraging and productive as they meet with customers and see MAF’s ministry firsthand.

Thursday 12: Please pray for the MAF Kenya team as they explore ministry opportunities in the north east of Kenya.

Friday 13: Pray that tonight's InFlight event in Christchurch, New Zealand and the launch of MAF's new group in the Philippines will be well attended and great successes.

Saturday 14: Pray against any obstacles to pilot Jarkko Korhonen being licensed to fly in Tanzania by mid-July. With only two other pilots in the programme (and one on leave in July) this is an urgent need.

Sunday 15: Pray for a positive and productive ongoing partnership between MAF and the Ministry of Health in Timor-Leste as they work together to provide an aerial medical retrieval (medevac) service from the districts into the Dili Hospital.

Monday 16: Recently doctors who are part of the MozMed team in Mozambique arranged for MAF to fly an evangelist and the Jesus film into the Moma area during their regular medical clinics. The Jesus film (dubbed into Makuwa) was shown to around 1,600 people over four days.  Pray for those who heard the good news and ask God to send Christians to come to follow up and disciple.

Tuesday 17: Pray that the five current flight students at MAF’s Flight Training Centre at Coldstream, Victoria, will make good progress.  Also uphold MAF candidates and others scheduled to visit for training in the next few months.

Wednesday 18: Over the next few weeks a number of engineers in PNG will be away on leave.  Please pray for plenty of strength and wisdom for those who remain working in the Mt Hagen hangar.

Thursday 19: Last month Ministry Development Co-ordinator Brett Nel and pilot Fabio Zuglian stayed overnight at the homeland of Garrthalala, Arnhem Land showing the ‘Indescribable’ series and having a time of fellowship.  Pray that the seeds sown in this community will bear fruit.

A note from Angela:

I was at a meeting with a group of Christians recently when there was a disagreement which unfortunately became quite heated.  As I thought about it later, I realised that our ungracious talk and distrust of each other’s motives, had the power to destroy all the good work we had done and planned to do.  But I also realised that by stopping, apologising and praying for one another, the destructive power was broken, and we were able to move on in peace and with relationships restored.  Phew!

Of course even Christians don’t always agree on everything!  But we can, and what’s more we should, be known as people who apologise quickly and who forgive readily, people who are gracious, compassionate and kind towards each other.

As you pray for MAF over these next two weeks, please keep this in mind and pray for continued strong and healthy relationships amongst our staff and with those we serve.

Thank you so much for your prayer support,

 Angela Harding
