Who won?

In the last newsletter, I gave away two Kindle versions of "Savannah's Bluebird" which went to Martha G. and Jean M. I also gave away two audio versions of "Okatibbee Creek" which went to Beth M. and Pat Z. Thank you all for participating in the giveaway.

Win this!

In this newsletter, I am giving away one Kindle copy of my new book "Stuckey's Legacy." This is going to be a quick giveaway, and you will get the very first copy before it even goes on sale. If you'd like a chance to win the lone copy, email me by clicking HERE to let me know you want to win. I will pick one winner and send your copy by email THIS Saturday night, May 24th. Good luck!

What's New??

I've finished writing the third book in the Stuckey's Trilogy. It's called "Stuckey's Gold" and it will be released in August. I'm so excited about it. It's a great story of Indians, deadly curses, and that trunk of gold that ended up at Stuckey's Inn in "The Legend of Stuckey's Bridge." I'll give the whole signed box set away in the next newsletter. Look for it sometime in August.

On a Personal Note:

I've spent the last month moving from Michigan to Tennessee. I'm not going to miss that crazy snow! I'm now living on a farm with eight cows, twenty-two chickens, two geese, a barn cat, and a neurotic donkey named Twister (pictured above). Wish me luck!

Have a great summer!
Lori

The second in the Stuckey's Trilogy is due to be released June 1st!

Thomas was a murderer, so Levi wasn’t surprised when a posse tied a noose around his neck and hung him from the iron rails of Stuckey’s Bridge. The instant Thomas’s neck snapped, Levi inherited more money than he could have ever imagined. Over the next decade, Levi’s wealth, charm, and good looks bought him social standing in the world of the rich and famous, even though his scruples were no higher than those of his late father.

In 1912, there was no more elite location for the rich and famous to gather than the Jekyll Island Club off Georgia’s coast. Millionaire’s Club, as it was commonly known, was the place to see and be seen, a place where Levi enjoyed rubbing elbows with prestigious names like Rockefeller and Morgan. His ambition to become one of the affluent was flawlessly executed…until the evening he spotted her across the room. Levi didn’t know when he locked eyes with the mysterious Penelope Juzan, his plan would begin to unravel and his life would forever change.

Thrown into a world of murder, treachery, and an intense game of cat and mouse, Levi would find his time on the island ending differently than it had begun. Was she only after his money? Occasionally, it seemed to him she only wanted him dead. Or maybe it was the other way around.

"Stuckey's Legacy" will be available at Amazon.com on June 1st!

I received the most fabulous news. The second in the Okatibbee Creek Series, "An Orphan's Heart," has been named a finalist in the 2014 Eric Hoffer Awards. I am honored and humbled to be recognized by such a great literary organization. If you haven't yet read any of the Okatibbee Creek Series, they begin with "Okatibbee Creek," followed by "An Orphan's Heart" and "Elly Hays." All three books have received recognition and I am so thankful.

"An Orphan's Heart" is the real-life
story of Ellen Rodgers, who with the broken spirit of an orphan and the soul of a gypsy, leaves her empty home in Mississippi to start a new life in Alabama. Eventually, she has to return to face her demons and learns you can never go home again. Finally, she ventures to the great plains of Texas and finds what her heart yearns for, only to have everything ripped from her in a shattering turn of events.

Follow the great adventure of a young woman’s travels across the rugged 1880′s Deep South in search of the only thing that is important to her…love.

"An Orphan's Heart" is available at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle.

If you are a genealogy buff like I am, you love to mention your ancestors in blogs and status posts. Birthdays and wedding dates mean so much to people like us, but how many times have dates slipped by unnoticed or we’ve missed them by mere days or weeks? We need a way to record and organize our family’s special dates. This is the record book I always wanted but could never find, so I create it!

"On This Day" features:

  • A convenient 6 x 9 inch paperback format that will rest out of the way in any drawer or on any shelf yet be instantly accessible when you need it.
  •
  • 366 dates (Yes, it includes leap year) to record all of your family’s special events.
  • Add your own year to every event.
  •
  • Locate any date in the book in moments and easily add information as you discover it.
  •
  • Extra pages at the end of the book for details, notes, or memories.
  •
  • Safely store wedding programs, funeral cards, obituaries, and birth announcements between the pages to pass on to future generations.

Record your ancestor’s special dates today in an easy-to-use book that you can thumb through in an instant. Is today your great grandmother’s birthday? Is tomorrow the anniversary of when your ancestors came to America? Now you can easily look in your book and find out.

Available now in paperback at Amazon.com.
