The Jimmy's No. 43 Summer BBQ Rig is Ready for Summer
 From the official producer of Pig Island and Brisket King of NYC comes a summer BBQ catering and special events smoker that you can see in action this coming weekend. The "official" start to summer is a bit cooler than we've had in years past, but look on the bright side: Memorial Day is so early this year that it's like we're getting an extra week of Summer Fridays in!
So as we gear up for Pig Island (on September 6 - Early Bird tickets on sale now) we're kicking off summer with our very own Summer BBQ Rig, a smoker that can be hired for festivals, parties, wedding and events... but we're also showing up at breweries all across the city for locals to come out and try some amazing BBQ paired with our favorite meat libation: beer!
We were at the launch party when Finback Brewery opened in Queens earlier this month, and starting this weekend, we'll be celebrating our start of summer with two brewers and one outdoor market:
- On Saturday, May 24th, from noon to 7 p.m., we'll be at Gun Hill Brewing, Co., in the Bronx. Come and try their flagship IPA, the Frosted Hop Strong Ale, their GH Gold, all while dining on slow-cooked pork, BBQ mushrooms (served with grits), our famous biscuits and gravy, pork & Asian slaw tacos, chicken sausages, hot dogs and more.
- On Sunday, May 25th, from 1 p.m. to sundown, we'll be taking part in Singlecut Beersmith's Inaugural BeerBQ. We'll have the smoker there with meats and roasted veggies to pair with lagers and ales from Singlecut's extensive line of brews.
- On Saturday, May 31st, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., we'll be at the opening day of this year's New Amsterdam Market, where we'll be selling BBQ half-chickens from Bobo's Farm and ribs from Flying Pigs Farm. Eat there or take home!
