Phone people: turn me sideways, please!
Hello, Friends!
I hope you're having a good weekend. I'll be running the jazz gamut May 29 - June 7, going from songs and poems to free improvisation to a big band dance party. Details are below. (There's quite a bit more happening later in June, too, so if you can't bear the suspense, click here to see my calendar.)

Andrea Wolper Trio
w/ Michael Howell & Ken Filiano
Thursday, May 29 • 7 - 9:30 pm (two sets)

Whynot Jazz Room: 14 Christopher St., NYC
A charming new venue in a great location, steps from the West 4th St. & Christopher St. subway stations, and 9th St. & Christopher St. PATH stations. $10 suggested donation. Food and drink available. It's a small room, so reservations are encouraged; email whynotjazzroom1@gmail.com. Please see note at the bottom of the email for a bit more about the venue.

Friday, June 6 • 11 a.m. (yes, a.m., the crack of dawn) the improvising trio TranceFormation (Connie Crothers, Ken Filiano, Andrea Wolper), presents a concert/clinic at the International Society for Improvised Music's annual conference & festival at the New School. Details here.

Saturday, June 7 • 7:30 - 10:30 pm
Art Lillard's Heavenly Big Band

at The Old Stone House, Washington Park
3rd Street between 4th & 5th Aves, Brooklyn
Part of the "Local Produce" Performing Arts mini-festival. I'll be sharing the vocal chair with Mary Foster Conklin & Marion Cowings. Bring your dancing shoes.

You know above, where I said "please see note"? Here's the note: The AW Trio appearance at Whynot Jazz Room May 29 is not part of the Why Not Experiment? series I've been telling you about. I will be appearing in that series, with Andrea Wolper's IP (different group, more experimental music), on June 22nd. Speaking of the series, there's a lot of great music coming up every Sunday in June (and beyond). Please click here to see the schedule.
