The Adelaide West End Association in collaboration with Adelaide City Council and with funding from the Foundation of Alcohol Research and Education are looking at the issue of public safety in our precinct. In particular, we are interested in the impact small bars are having on perceptions of safety.
Between March and June this year a series of late night audits have been undertaken in Hindley, Peel and around Waymouth Streets to assess a range of physical and social factors that may impact on perceptions of safety.
We are also interested to hear your views on how the small venues are impacting the precinct and to that end we have prepared a brief survey. If you would like to participate in the survey it can be accessed here .
Should you wish to discuss this project please do not hesitate to contact the Adelaide West End Association via contact@adelaidewestend.com.au.
From 5pm on Thursdays, the West End precinct comes alive with an on-going calendar of FREE events at the Samstag Museum of Art, involving cultural organisations and local businesses from the precinct. Doors are open until late, with exhibitions, films, music, talks, food, beer and wine, workshops and MORE. We look forward to seeing you here in the West!
