The students sure do like muffins! It is exam time once again at West Carleton High School. I will be delivering muffins to our early exam writers on the first day of exams; Thursday June 19th. If you can donate some muffins please drop them off before Wednesday, June 18th at the Parish Hall (if it is before Wednesday feel free to pop them in the downstairs freezer) The youth at West are always so thankful for this wonderful gift of a morning snack... I appreciate your ongoing support of this ministry!
It is another year of Milestones in the Parish. Several of our teens are heading off to highschool and still others are getting ready to enter highschool.

We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate those in our midst who are heading off to university or to other chapters of their journey.

If you or someone in your family is graduating this year please send me an email so that they can be recognized at the St. James service on Sunday, June 22nd. Send me an email with the following information:
Name of graduate; where he/she is graduating from; where he/she plans to go next (send it off to huntleypriest@bellnet.ca)

Please sen this info to me and confirm that the graduate will be at the June 22nd service by Tuesday, June 17th.

Good Food Box ~ 24 Boxes for June

The June order period for the Good Food Box is now closed. We have 24 boxes ordered for pick up at the Parish Hall on June 18th.

The Good Food Box is a non-profit community-based initiative bringing neigbours together to buy a variety of delicious and nutritious fresh fruites and vegetables at wholesale prices.

The goal is to purchase food that is in season and is grown as close to home as possible. It works like a large buying club with centralized buying and coordination. And it`s open to everyone - with no membership fees.

If you would like to purchase a Good Food Box for future months please go to their website to shop online: HERE

For more information you can contact our Good Food Box Coordinator Gail Carroll at THE CARROLLS <thecarrolls@xplornet.com>

St. James Scattering Garden in the Cemetery

This past Sunday we had a wonderful Cemetery Service at St. James. We did not dedicate the scattering garden as originally planned but instead will wait until the fall when the garden is more complete. We will keep you posted. If you would like to participate in the building of this new sacred space please contact Charlene Johnston at 470-0142 or reddoggiegirl@gmail.com

Charlene is also on the continual look-out for people to help with some of the work in the cemetery. Each of our church cemeteries should have a Cemetery Committee and we have not had a full committee at St. James for years. I would invite you to consider how important our cemetery is to our community and if you are able give Charlene a call to help out.

What you are being asked to do:
- have a picture taken of you  and your family at one of the photo sessions
- there is no cost to you - it is free.
