CodeNow training at Facebook is a success! Accepting Apps for Summer Workshops in Miami, SF & NYC!
CodeNow kicked off the summer with a successful workshop in the Bay area at Facebook headquarters! The workshop implemented CodeNow’s new “plug-and-play” initiative, CodeNow in a Box, which provides companies with the curriculum, hardware and trains their volunteers to run CodeNow’s program. Executed seamlessly, Facebook trainers created a memorable experience for the more than 40 students in attendance who each received more than 25 hours of training in computer programming.
Building on this momentum, CodeNow is celebrating by adding three new summer workshops in Miami, San Francisco, and New York City! Specific dates for each training below:
Interested in computer programming, but never had the opportunity to pursue it? Now is your chance! If you’re a student entering grades 9th to 12th in the fall and interested in learning more about programming, we’d love to hear from you! No prior experience in programming is required – CodeNow’s trainers will teach you how to build interactive games and apps with the programming language Ruby. Application are accepted on a rolling basis, so get your application in today! Application deadline for all three cities is June 27, 2014.
