Tom at the Farm - Texas PREMIER

Writer/director/star, Xavier Dolan's “Tom at the Farm” might be his best feature yet, (he recently won the 2014 Cannes Jury Prize for, “Mommy”) The film follows Tom (played by Dolan), a grief-stricken young ad copywriter who visits his dead lover’s parents — only to get drawn into a savage game rooted in the rural family’s dark past. —A psychosexual thriller that pulses with style.

Regarding Susan Sontag - Southwest PREMIERE

“Regarding Susan Sontag” is an intimate and nuanced investigation into the life of one of the most influential and provocative thinkers of the 20th century. Passionate and gracefully outspoken throughout her career, Susan Sontag became one of the most important literary, political and feminist figures of her generation. The documentary explores Sontag’s life through evocative experimental images, archival materials, accounts from friends, family, colleagues, and lovers, as well as her own words, read by actress Patricia Clarkson.

The Way He Looks - Texas PREMIERE

With “The Way He Looks,” winner of the FIPRESCI and Teddy award for best feature at the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival, promising young Brazilian director Daniel Ribeiro has fleshed out his award-winning 2010 short “I Don't Want to Go Back Alone”. Ribeiro’s debut feature is an awkwardly sweet window into the world of Leonardo (Ghilherme Lobo), a boy leaning toward independence and first love. Blind from birth, Leo dreams of riding a bike unassisted down the streets of Sao Paulo, but his childhood friend Giovana (Tess Amorim) gently holds his arm as they walk home from school each day. Although they’re 16 and 17, neither of them has been kissed yet. And when Gabriel (Fabio Audi), with an easy smile and a mop of curly hair, arrives as the new kid in school, things start to get really complicated.
