ENTENTE-Life Sciences Investment Forum, 09 October 2014, Brussels
The FP7 Health project ENTENTE and EuropaBio event will gather 28 European early stage innovative companies active in the health sector and seeking investment opportunities and international exposure. The selected companies will have the opportunity to pitch their innovation, developments and needs to an international jury of about 40 business angels, venture capitalists, corporate investors and other industry experts. The deadline for applications is 29 August. Read more

Biotech industry disappointed with ministers' agreement to renationalise decisions on GM crops cultivation
The agreement reached yesterday by EU Environment ministers on the so-called "nationalisation proposal" concerning GM crops cultivation clearly shows the lack of willingness of the EU institutions and Member States to correctly implement the current regulatory framework for GMO approvals they had decided upon themselves.

Nine new members join EuropaBio - the European Biotechnology Trade Association

Engineered bacteria produce biofuels

A new bacteria combination converts glycerol to ethanol, hydrogen, and CO2, giving a dual benefit of cleaning wastewater and in the same time, producing additional fuels, according to a research team at Michigan State University. Read more
