"Marine sanctuary” Giclee

Marine Sanctuary - Magroves to the Reef: Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Florida State Parks and the 50th Anniversary of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State park was established in 1963 as the first undersea park in the United States — and long considered a crown jewel of the Florida State Park System. Since then, the park has enjoyed international renown as part of the only living coral reef in the continental United States. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the park and the 75th Anniversary of the Florida State Park system, Wyland has created “Marine Sanctuary: Mangroves to the Sea,” his unique interpretation of the abundant life and dazzling colors both above and below this dazzling aquatic universe. “Everyone who visits the John Pennekamp park comes away changed in one way or another,” Wyland says. “I’ve been fortunate to have such a pristine natural wonderland in my backyard where I can draw countless hours of inspiration. Every time I visit it, I can’t wait to get back to my studio to capture what I’ve seen.” This vibrant new work of art will be issued as a commemorative poster through John Pennekamp State Park and exclusively for Wyland collectors as a limited edition giclee on canvas at a special introductory price.
