China and Australia food summit aims to boost trade links

Boosting trade links with China is the focus of the Australia-China Food Summit taking place in Sydney. It will look at strategic ways in which Australian business can forge new ties with Chinese partners in the agriculture sector.

Doug Ferguson, Head of China Business Practice and Head of Asia Business Group at KPMG told ABC News's Whitney Fitzsimmons there are a number of opportunity goods for Australia to export to China including wine and vegetables. Watch the full video here.

State of Origin Game 1 @ The Local
The build-up was as tense as it gets in Origin, but when the teams took to the park the action was ferocious. Despite an early Queensland try, New South Wales enjoyed the ascendency in the first half to hold the lead at half time. The blues led for the rest of the game leaving them with a convincing 12-8 win.

Queensland’s complacency of a STR8 winning streak has led them to be skating on thin ice leading into round 2 of origin.
Many punters from both sides of the border are excited to watch history in the making. Will Queensland be able to hold on in the 2014 series or will this year be the first time in nearly a decade that NSW are the State of Origin champions? We look forward to seeing you at The Local for the next big clash on June 18th!
