What a fantastic response from both the media and key leaders within the food community to the launch of our report!

The day started at 6:00 am on WCSH-TV Channel 6 with live shots from Jordan’s Farm in Cape Elizabeth featuring, MFS Co-Director Tanya Swain.

The press conference received Portland media’s full attention with all three television stations, Maine Public Radio, The Portland Press Herald and The Forecaster in attendance. Steering Committee members Ben Martens and Mark Dvorozniak joined Tanya at the podium to reinforce the importance of the report and to outline ways specific findings apply within sectors of the food production and consumption sectors.

On Tuesday, Steering Committee members Ben Martens and Daniel Wallace along with Tanya Swain fielded listener questions on “Maine Calling,” a live, one-hour Maine Public Radio show hosted by Jennifer Rooks.
