Of Note

The Canadian Association of College and University Student Services (CACUSS) Conference kicks of this Sunday with many opportunities to explore new ideas and to continue conversations had at the Summit; For example, the session Developing Campus Policies for Student Mental Health: where to begin? will be an opportunity to build on the catalyst presentations on campus policies and the design lab at the Summit.
The OCAD U and Ryerson University Campus Mental Health Partnership Project has recently released Policy Approaches to Post-secondary Student Mental Health: A Scan of Current Practice, the draft of which was discussed at the Summit.

This report provides a scan of policy approaches and highlights a number of trends in policy development for student mental health, as well as some key debates and concerns facing post-secondary institutions in the United Kingdom and Canada. The document can be downloaded here.

Join the discussion of this document and share ideas on how to impact campus mental health through policy changes at the CACUSS 2014 conference session Developing Campus Policies for Student Mental Health: where to begin? on June 9, 2014 from 1:45 - 3:00 pm (Suite 302).

Next Steps

If you are unable to attend the session at the CACUSS Conference, but would like to be part of a national group discussing policies for campus mental health, send an email to shaylyn.streatch@cmha.bc.ca.

Stay Tuned

Healthy Minds/Healthy Campuses will also be hosting an upcoming webinar series on campus policies.
