Rose lost 10kgs in a day!

Just through clothes and hair styling, Rose looks like she's lost 10kgs.

This 'empty nester' is ready for her next stage of life, now that all three daughters have left home. What better way to start than with a Gorgeous Me makeover. Check out her makeover here.

We're taking a wee break from makeovers while the retailers go into winter sales and transition into new season's ranges. Our next makeover will be on 7 August. Sounds sooo far away but the reality is, we'll be showing you another fabulous makeover before you know it.

It's time to go shopping

Most retailers have now started their winter sales. Amazing really given that Winter has only just begun and now the clothes are on sale! Such a bonus for consumers.

Remember, only buy if you absolutely LOVE it, don't let a discount persuade you otherwise!

With much sadness, we say goodbye to the lovely Bev, photographer extraordinaire and Simon, photography assistant, who really keeps Bev on the straight and narrow! Bev is now fully transitioning to her new business of personal training & development - Activ8 Your Life.

We wish Bev and Simon all the best.

Itâ€™s really down to personal preference, but here are some suggestions: (more)

Stinky Sneakers Be Gone

If you're anything like us, your sneakers get a jolly hard time and would respond well to a clean. We put ours in the washing machine for great results.

remove all excess dirt
remove the inner soles (they go in too)
place in washing machine with a couple of old towels. The towels make it a bit gentler on the machine and also help to clean the shoes - just make sure they're not fluffy ones!
use a regular wash cycle
don't wash more than say a couple of pairs at any one time, it might upset the machine's agitator
Dry outside or in the airing cupboard. Don't replace the inner soles until the shoe is completely dry.
