Featured Camp: CYJ Celebrates Camp Solelim's 50th

Named after Kibbutz HaSolelim (translation: the trailblazers or builders) , which was established in the Lower Galilee in 1949,  Camp Solelim was founded in Sudbury ON in 1965 as a part of Canadian Young Judaea.  The camp was created to fill a gap, to bridge an area of programming previously unaddressed in the affiliated CYJ camp system.  Click Here to read more!
Featured Alum: Brian Moskowitz (BC'88)
We recently caught up with Brian and asked him a few questions:
1.  Where did you grow up and where did you go to camp (including staff years)?
I grew up in Toronto and was a camper at Camps Shalom, Solelim, Biluim Canada 1988 and Biluim Israel 1989.  I worked on staff at Camp Solelim from 1990-1993 and was a member of the Solelim Board from 2008-2010.  Click Here to read the rest of Brian's article!

CYJ's Shinshinim: Talia Alboher
Hi everyone! My name is Talia Alboher and I was a Shinshin for CYJ in 2010-2011 and a madricha at Camp Solelim in 2011.  After my summer at Camp Solelim I returned to my home in Jerusalem and was recruited to the IDF in October.   Click Here to read more!

Message from Marla Dan, CHW President
Shalom!
Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) is proud of our ongoing partnership with Canadian Young Judaea (CYJ), which provides support to summer camps and youth programs across Canada. Our common goal, to strengthen young members’ Jewish identities and principles, works hand-in-hand with our collective mission of serving children and youth in Canada and Israel, together.  Click Here to read Marla Dan's message.
