Principals Message

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to give a very warm welcome to our new tutor veteran actor John Jarratt.  John is probably best known for his chilling portrayal of Mad Mick Taylor in Wolf Creek and Django Unchained.

He's just back from the States promoting Wolf Creek 2 and is in post production on a feature he wrote and produced himself.  John is now developing another feature which he hopes to begin shooting early next year.  The Diploma students are very aware of how lucky they are to be guided by such a talented and versatile actor.

We've got a few versatile actors teaching at Screenwise at the moment. Apart from our usual suspects we also have Sara Wiseman from A Place To Call Home, Susan Prior and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor from Puberty Blues. Jeremy is just back from shooting Gallipoli.  They've all been taking the Diploma and Showreel Course Students through their paces.  You know, each day when I look around Screenwise and see the incredible talent that tutors, guides and inspires our students, it takes my breath away.  These students are given the opportunity of a lifetime to work intimately and regularly with some of the best talent the industry has to offer.  Before Screenwise this was unheard of.

Just before I sign off, I'd also like to take this opportunity to pass on a huge congratulations to Screenwise Grad, Christian Clark who has just become a Daddy to a beautiful baby boy called Bodhi.

Until next time.

Denise
